How To Find Content People Want

Finding the perfect content can be a universal nightmare.  You are trying to find the appropriate balance between creating something of value that highly matters to your consumer base while having it be so engaging that it increases your interaction rates across the board.  Don’t worry, creating key content is NOT a needle in a haystack.  In fact, your very own website/blog holds all of the answers you seek.
Analyze and Track
Track your current visitor activity and then analyze the data.  Seek out the top 10 posts that draw attentions and high impressions on your website.  Why are these pages performing so well?  Is there a specific topic that keeps coming into play?  Length of article?  On-page optimization?  Your best performing pages are the key to understanding what types of content and which topics to dive into more thoroughly.
Another fantastic way to figure out new areas to explore is through keywords.  Which keywords did your visitors use to find that page in the first place?  By knowing these keywords you are not only able to understand what piques their interest but how they are looking for it across the internet.  This can help you better optimize and market your new material.
It’s Evergreen
The concept of something being Evergreen is, quite simply, that it is a self-renewing staple meaning a go-to that you can keep mining.  By examining the user data research from your site you will be able to figure out a couple of topics that your customer base can’t seem to get enough of.  Since you know that these topics can be explored often and perform well, they become your tried and true marketing pieces.
Be cautious not to have ONLY Evergreen content.  You want a bit of variety to draw in new visitors and to showcase that you are not only limited to discussing one or two topics.  If you only use Evergreen content, you will water down the significance and impact of those pieces over time.

All About Value

“Content marketing is really like a first date.  If all you do is talk about yourself, there won’t be a second date.” – David Beebe When you produce content, it should be a genuine work that gives information, answers questions or solves problems.  The point to each piece of content should be solving a problem for your consumer or somehow, someway making their lives a little easier.  If your focus behind making content is simply to snare more consumers, you will achieve the opposite of what you intend. It’s similar to that movie “All About Eve” starring the late, great Bette Davis.  When everyone found out Eve had ulterior motives and was playing on everyone’s emotions just to get ahead, she was left utterly alone with her fledgling success and began to crumble.  If you produce content simply to boost your sales or increase your followers, consumers will smell it from a mile away and abandon you.  Any content that comes from you or your company must be genui
