Get Picked Apart!

When you start on a marketing path for your company or products, you create a website, packaging and advertising that all flows together.  Perhaps you have a uniform color scheme to identify your brand or a particular series of images that can be used to demonstrate what you offer.  You may have an idea or path that you believe should be followed in order to reach consumers and hold fast to that that during marketing phases.  But what many companies fail to realize is that they don’t automatically know what their target audience likes.  They perceive things that would probably associate with them and this is where the root of missed connections and poor campaigns starts.
Never assume you know what your audience likes.
It may seem obvious or you may even have similar thoughts but the truth is that you do NOT know how the target audience thinks or feels about something without asking them.  If you are about to launch a product or service, spend the time conducting research on your target audience during the production phase.  Run some test groups or surveys and make sure you know exactly WHO you are marketing for and WHAT they like.
If you don’t have the money to run controlled testing, simply ask friends and family for feedback.  Ask them to be brutally honest about your website, branding and marketing plan.  Not only is their advice free but you may discover new opportunities for marketing or make changes that not only make your marketing more effective but solidify the look and feel of your brand.
If you find yourself a little short on the time needed to launch a full scale marketing plan or feel like you might be missing something, give us a call and find out how we can help.

All About Value

“Content marketing is really like a first date.  If all you do is talk about yourself, there won’t be a second date.” – David Beebe When you produce content, it should be a genuine work that gives information, answers questions or solves problems.  The point to each piece of content should be solving a problem for your consumer or somehow, someway making their lives a little easier.  If your focus behind making content is simply to snare more consumers, you will achieve the opposite of what you intend. It’s similar to that movie “All About Eve” starring the late, great Bette Davis.  When everyone found out Eve had ulterior motives and was playing on everyone’s emotions just to get ahead, she was left utterly alone with her fledgling success and began to crumble.  If you produce content simply to boost your sales or increase your followers, consumers will smell it from a mile away and abandon you.  Any content that comes from you ...
