Experiment With Facebook Messenger

You have probably heard about the 90/10 rule by now.
Experts say to truly make the most out of your marketing strategy you should be doing 90% really, REALLY well and only spend 10% experimenting.  This is actually some of the most sound advice you can ever get on a marketing approach.  But what exactly are you doing with the 10%?
Realistically, you should be trying out new techniques in content, sales or marketing and working on automating tiresome processes so you can fool around a bit more with new tactics or software.  Sure, you may discover a completely new channel to use or evolve into the next phase of your overall marketing plan but finding an undiscovered channel is like searching for a needle in a haystack.  Instead of trying to become the next Magellan, why not fine tune channels you have already picked over with a fine-toothed comb?
For example, how about Facebook Messenger?
You have to remember that everyone is so used to tired sales tactics on Facebook that increased engagement is hard to come by.  Everyone is vying for ad space and how to snag those targeted consumer bases by flooding news feeds, stories, etc.  You have to think outside of the box. This applies to nearly every marketing channel out there.  Take some time to discover every facet of a channel.  Features that you may have overlooked are ripe for a fresh spin and integration into the marketing you currently do on it.
Take a look at Facebook Messenger.  In a day and age where Facebook tactics are as old as sliced bread and not nearly as exciting, using features such as Messenger could breathe fresh air into a tired system.  Facebook Messenger has open rate as high as 80 PERCENT!  You read that right.  An 80% open rate.  That’s amazing.
Use free software, such as MobileMonkey, to create chatbots and automate your communications on Messenger.  Building a chatbot is EXTREMELY easy and requires no writing of code.  There are many paid or free chatbot software sites you can visit and get started honing your FB Messenger communication.
What is so special about this right now is that consumers are CRAVING interaction and complete ease in their daily life.  Your chatbot can not only answer their most pressing needs immediately but offer them the ability to engage with your brand even further.  Your chatbot does what YOU want it to so you could start by helping with an issue and introduce language to guide the consumer into your sales funnel.  Upsells, email signups, membership programs – the sky’s the limit!
As long as you offer value and genuine solutions to their needs and avoid being spammy or seem like a used car salesman, you could see some very positive results from incorporating Messenger into your sales funnel.  With open rates as high as 80%, use your creativity to see how you can utilize such an efficient tool to increase your engagement levels and maximize your Facebook marketing efforts.

Contact Forms: Needs Over Wants

You have probably heard that your money is in your list.  This is true. Email marketing is a powerful advertising tool and a great way to reach and engage consumers or potential consumers.  You can provide them with great content, tips, coupons and company announcements while occasionally pitching products or announcing new releases.  A loyal and properly engaged email marketing list tend to follow call-to-actions more often than not.  So, yes, there can be substantial money made from your email marketing list. The reasons a person may not sign up for email lists are numerous.  They could be overwhelmed by similar emails, not all that interested in your product or company, not finding value in the information you provide or you are too light on great content and too heavy on selling.  While many variations of these could occur, another reason they may not join your list is simply because you ask too much of them. Yep.  You might just be asking for too much informati

All About Value

“Content marketing is really like a first date.  If all you do is talk about yourself, there won’t be a second date.” – David Beebe When you produce content, it should be a genuine work that gives information, answers questions or solves problems.  The point to each piece of content should be solving a problem for your consumer or somehow, someway making their lives a little easier.  If your focus behind making content is simply to snare more consumers, you will achieve the opposite of what you intend. It’s similar to that movie “All About Eve” starring the late, great Bette Davis.  When everyone found out Eve had ulterior motives and was playing on everyone’s emotions just to get ahead, she was left utterly alone with her fledgling success and began to crumble.  If you produce content simply to boost your sales or increase your followers, consumers will smell it from a mile away and abandon you.  Any content that comes from you or your company must be genui
